Tucked away on the southwestern edge of the Great Smoky Mountains near Lake Santeetlah on the outskirts of  Robbinsville, North Carolina is a true find - the rolling acres of Stoney Hollow Farm.

This unique family farm produces a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers and it's all available for u-pick - everything from A to Z  (apples to zinnias)!  When you first climb the gravel drive, you are greeted by pups Pudge, Rosie, Ivy, Cody and Rocky  (if they can be roused from their naps!)  In the summer and fall when you enter the barn you will see tables piled with fresh delectable produce for those who prefer it already picked.  In winter and early spring the greenhouses remain open and offer fresh greens, lettuces, vegetables, and herbs. See the General Store page for current availability and pricing. Stoney Hollow Farm is a wonderful place to bring the children and grandkids.  It always tastes better when you pick it yourself. Grab the white plastic buckets or harvesting baskets and you’ll be directed to the right area with instructions from owners Scott & Stephanie Boxberger and their family. When you return, weigh your bounty, calculate your bill, and put your money in the freezer. Stoney Hollow Farm operates on the honor system.

Since the bounty is so great, excess plums, peaches, blackberries, raspberries, grapes, peppers and apples are crafted into delicious jams, jellies, preserves and vinegars - all of which are made in small batches using only pure cane sugar and fresh picked ingredients straight from the farm - never any fillers, juices, artificial colors or corn syrup.  Be sure to try the delicious pies and breads prepared daily by hand using farm produce, organic ingredients, and freshly milled grains - they go fast, though, so come early or call ahead to place an order. Please see the General Store page  for current products and pricing.  Stoney Hollow Farm is also home to several colonies of bees busily pollinating the fruit and using the variety of nectars to make a deliciously complex honey which defies description - you'll just have to taste it for yourself!

The flower garden, conveniently located next to the barn, is a haven for a variety of beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds - Don’t forget your camera...
