Our mountain hideaway is located on a secluded 300 acre farm in the North Carolina mountains, and is surrounded by national forest. Enjoy the breath taking view of the mountains on one side and the gentle sound of the creek on the other while you rest in rocking chairs on the wrap-around porch. Take a short hike to a secluded waterfall or cool off in the private swimming pond.

This 4 bedroom 4 bath home is ideal for any family vacation and is fully furnished with everything you need. We are located minutes from white water rafting, horse-back riding, hiking, bike riding, and swimming, fishing, and boating on Lake Santeetlah. Maggie Valley is only one hour away and offers snow skiing and a chance to view elk in the Cataloochee Valley. Motorcyclists will enjoy riding the Tail of the Dragon or the Cherohala Skyway and will appreciate the paved drive and ample parking just outside the front door.

Scott and Stephanie are avid runners and have designed a number of excellent road and off-road runs in the immediate area. They would be happy to work with your family or running club to plan a program for your stay to suit any level of difficulty from fun family runs to marathon-worthy hill training - all in beautiful mountain settings.

Honeymooners or those seeking solitude will enjoy long walks on the farm, picking berries, swimming in the pond, hiking, building camp fires, reading a good book, or relaxing on the porch.

Rates: ($250/night, $1250/week - 25% deposit to reserve - must cancel within 60 days of reservation for refund, separate $200 security deposit will be refunded within 10 days of check-out if no repairs or replacements are needed, 10% tax
